Walking down to the river was a delight.
The dark, flowing water, with all its might
Cleared her mind of the daily grime of life, and
Staring into the endless azure, enduring and unplanned
Brought a sense of clarity and purpose
That left her feeling blameless.
What had happened,
Muddled, confused and full of strife.
What would happen
Was hope, and
Hope would come to her once again
And life be restored to its balance.
